AI, Analytics, & Interoperability — What Health Innovators Anticipate Most at AHIP's Digital Event

The votes are in, and the people have spoken. AHIP surveyed health care professionals on LinkedIn to find out which emerging topics they're most looking forward to at the 2024 Consumer Experience & Digital Health Forum in Nashville, September 24–26.

AI, Data Analytics, & Interoperability were the top themes of interest. Fifty-six percent of survey respondents said they hope to hear more about technologies and innovations around AI and data analytics on the 2024 stage.

  • Standout session: Attendees won’t want to miss Wednesday’s session with Dr. Robert Pearl, Stanford University Medical and Business School professor and author, called "The AI Revolution in Medicine: What the Future Holds." Dr. Pearl will explore AI’s impact on diagnostics, treatment personalization, and patient outcomes while addressing key ethical and privacy concerns.

Also of interest to voters was the topic of Consumer Experience Redefined. Concurrent sessions under this theme from Softheon, Teladoc Health, and Simplify Healthcare will cover strategies and technology-led approaches to improve customer experience, engage diverse populations, improve accuracy and service times, and simplify benefits inquiry experiences.

  • Standout session: Experts will dive into the challenges of meeting varied consumer expectations while maintaining high-quality care in Tuesday’s panel, "The Future of Direct-to-Consumer Health Care: Balancing Consumer & Patient Demands."

Under the other equally popular Health Tech Trends, Innovation, & Market Disruption theme, highlights include: “How AI-Driven Digital Health Is Shaping High-Cost, Complex Condition Management,” “The Obesity Challenge – Optimizing Your GLP-1 Program and Managing Access,” and “Leveraging Digital Health Tools to Advance Care & Health Equity in Heart Disease.”

  • Standout session: In “Stakeholder Perspectives on Driving the Future of Digital Health,” attendees will explore emerging trends and collaborative initiatives that are enhancing evidence and value in digital health technology, with a focus on improving outcomes and reducing costs.

Several survey respondents said they wanted to learn more about Digital Health Strategies for Connected Care. Related sessions include, “Future Directions for Virtual Health — Improving Access to Primary Care and Behavioral Health,” “GLP-1 Best Practices: AI-Driven Outcomes and Savings,” and “The Future of Remote Monitoring and Care Delivery in the Home.”

  • Standout session: Sameer Amin, MD, of L.A. Care Health Plan, Pooja Mittal, DO, of Health Net, and Andrea Willis, MD, MPH, FAAP, of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, will headline Tuesday’s concurrent session, “Technology's Vital Role in Health Equity — How Digital Is Driving Improvements in Access.”
