Statement for Hearing on “Charting the Path Forward for Telehealth”

Everyone deserves access to affordable, high-quality care whether delivered in-person or virtually. This has been and continues to be a core principle for health insurance providers and our industry. AHIP greatly appreciates the Subcommittee on Health for holding this hearing on charting a path forward for telehealth.1With continued spread of COVID-19, many Americans still unvaccinated, increased need for behavioral health services, and significant portions of the population living in rural or underserved areas, it is critical that we work together to ensure all Americans have access to safe, affordable care when and where they need it.
