Maggie Helms is a data scientist and health care leader with more than 11 years of experience in the industry. She’s currently vice president of data operations, health informatics, and enterprise systems at HealthPartners, an integrated, non-profit health care organization that serves more than 1.3 million patients in Minnesota and Wisconsin and 1.8 million medical and dental health plan members nationwide.
In her role, she provides leadership and strategic direction to advance the use of data, AI, and technology to make health care simpler and more affordable. She leads cross-functional teams accountable for information management, business intelligence, data engineering, and machine learning/data science, championing human-centered development and design principles into engineering and data science. Maggie co-chairs HealthPartners AI and Data Governance committees and represents the organization in a variety of strategic advisory forums, including investment collaboratives, interoperability and data exchange collaboratives and non-profit advocacy groups.
