Neel Butala, MD, MBA

Dr. Neel Butala co-founded HiLabs with the vision to leverage advanced machine learning methods to address fundamental healthcare data quality issues to empower organizations to rapidly generate insights from their data. Neel is a physician-scientist at University of Colorado where his research focuses on using advanced analytic methods on large healthcare datasets and is a practicing interventional cardiologist. He has received numerous national awards for his innovative research, clinical acumen, and teaching ability, and his work has been published in leading medical journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association, and Circulation.
Dr. Butala holds an AB magna cum laude in Economics with High Honors from Harvard College, an MD cum laude from Yale School of Medicine, and an MBA from Yale School of Management. He completed clinical training in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, and structural heart disease at Massachusetts General Hospital.
