Pat Wang

Pat Wang has dedicated her career to advancing health equity and championing the healthcare needs of vulnerable New Yorkers. Ms. Wang is the President and CEO of Healthfirst, one of the largest not-for-profit health insurers in the country serving 1.7+ million fully insured members in downstate New York -- including one-third of New York City’s Medicaid population and a significant portion of Medicare Advantage beneficiaries -- in a robust value-based payment model.

Ms. Wang is also an active participant in healthcare policy, serving as a Commissioner on the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC), a member of New York’s Medicaid Redesign Team II, the Citizens Budget Commission, and on the board of directors of America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP). As a co-chair of New York’s Vaccine Task Force, she worked diligently with community leaders, government, and local providers to ensure that all New Yorkers have equitable access to and confidence in the COVID-19 vaccine.
