Raj Narayani, MD, FACG, FASGE

Gastroenterologist, Gastrointestinal Associates (GIA), Knoxville

Dr. Narayani is a Gastroenterologist in Knoxville, Tennessee with expertise in video capsule endoscopy of the small bowel, advanced endoscopic treatment of Barrett’s esophagus, and healthcare informatics. He served as an academic gastroenterologist at David Grant USAF Medical Center in California, later joining Gastrointestinal Associates (GIA) in Tennessee, where he has practiced since 2005. At GIA, he has championed the organization’s effort with electronic health record integration and optimization for nearly 20 years.

Dr. Narayani obtained undergraduate degrees from Vanderbilt University in chemistry and computer science and then remained at Vanderbilt to attend medical school. He then began active-duty military service in the U.S. Air Force to complete internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship training. He is a fellow of the ACG and ASGE, and a member of Cohere Health's Medical Advisory Board.
