AHIP addressed a letter to House leaders expressing our strong support for immediate legislative action to extend federal funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Our letter states: “We applaud congressional support for a five-year extension of federal funding for CHIP, as recommended by the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC). This action is urgently needed to provide peace of mind to families that are served by CHIP and to ensure that states can make budget decisions about CHIP coverage.”
