Every American deserves affordable, comprehensive coverage that provides them with convenient and safe access to care. For women, access to care is a critical issue: Overall, women are higher users of health care resources than men due to longer life expectancies, reproductive health needs, and maternity care. These services encompass prevention (e.g., contraception) and all needed screenings, as well as maternity and pre- and post-partum health.
